Sarkari Naukri: Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) has issued a big recruitment notification for the candidates preparing for government jobs. A total of 1679 posts will be appointed in the Jail Department and Forest Department. The recruitment includes the posts of Jail Guard, Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Superintendent. The special thing is that only 10th pass candidates can apply for many posts.

The application process has started from 28th February 2026 and will continue till 14th March 2026. Interested candidates can apply through online mode.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit

The minimum educational qualification for the posts of Jail Guard, Forest Guard and Field Guard has been fixed as 10th pass. Whereas for the post of Jail Superintendent, graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory.

The minimum age to apply has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 38 years. However, the minimum age for the post of Jail Superintendent is 21 years. Reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules.

physical parameters

For Jail Guard, Forest Guard and Field Guard posts, the minimum height of male candidates should be 163 cm and that of female candidates should be 150 cm. For men, chest requirement is 79 cm (including 5 cm expansion).

For the post of Jail Superintendent, the minimum height for men has been fixed at 168 cm and for women at 155 cm. It is mandatory for the candidates to be physically fit.

pay scale

Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000 per month for Forest Guard and Field Guard posts. Whereas for the post of Jail Superintendent, the monthly salary will be Rs 36,200 to Rs 1,14,800.

selection process

Candidates will first have to appear in the written examination. After this a physical efficiency test will be conducted. Document verification and medical test of successful candidates will be done. Final appointment will be given after successfully completing all the steps.
