Apple introduces new MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro, M5 Max chipset, know features
The company has introduced new M series chipsets for Apple MacBook Pro. Apple has introduced M5 Pro and M5 Max, which are said to be the company’s most powerful chipsets till date. Apple’s in-house fusion architecture has been used in these. The new chipsets come equipped with 6 high performance cores and 12 performance cores. Apple claims that it gives 30 percent better performance.
The company has introduced the new 2026 models of Apple MacBook Pro. The new models of MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets will be available for purchase from March 11.
M5 Pro, M5 Max Specifications
Apple’s new M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets are built on the company’s new Fusion architecture. Two 3nm dies are available in the chipset. These work for low-latency and bandwidth. The MacBook Pro (2026) can be configured with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips with up to 128GB of memory. At the same time, the storage can go up to 8TB.
The company presents MacBook Pro as a device for creators. These are said to have high workload capabilities which are useful for video creators and sound engineers. Apart from this, it is also useful for STEM students and AI researchers.
The new MacBook has an 18-core CPU, including 12 performance cores and 6 new high-performance cores. The company claims that these super cores can deliver the fastest single thread performance. The GPU can be configured with up to 40 cores. It is said that the M5 Pro chip performs 35 percent better and the M5 chip performs 30 percent better in the app. Apart from this, it is also equipped with Neural Engine which comes with 16 cores. This especially increases AI performance. The new chipsets also support Thunderbolt 5 connectivity.
