Obra police of Sonbhadra district, showing its efficiency and sensitivity, has recovered a 4-year-old missing innocent girl safely within just 24 hours. This quick action of the police not only saved a family from disintegration, but also deepened the faith in Khaki in the entire district. According to the information, there was panic in the police department as soon as the information about the missing of a 4 year old girl was received from Obra police station area.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, two special teams were immediately formed on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma. During the investigation, the police took the help of technical evidence. After scanning the CCTV, the police got a clue that the girl was going alone on foot in the direction of Chopan. The police team showed the photo of the girl to auto, toto drivers and passers-by and conducted intensive questioning.
After tireless efforts, on 05.03.2026, the police recovered the girl Anshika (4 years), daughter of Rajesh Vishwakarma safely from village Bari (Police Station Chopan area). When the police reached the girl’s parents with her, tears of joy welled up in the eyes of the family. Family members and local villagers have openly praised this commendable work of Obra Police.
The two teams that carried out this successful rescue operation were led by Inspector-in-charge Sadanand Rai and Inspector Shamsher Yadav. The team mainly included outpost in-charge Kasba Obara Vishnu Prabha Singh, SP Ramsingh Yadav, constable Yashwant Saroj, Praveen Rai, Pankaj Pal and lady constable Rinku Gupta.
