In Mumbai this price was Rs 162,870 per 10 grams. On March 5, the price of gold in Delhi bullion market fell by Rs 7,600 or 4.4 percent to Rs 165,200 per 10 grams due to profit booking by investors.
Increased demand for safe-haven assets was offset by heavy profit booking at higher levels due to rising geopolitical tensions between the US, Israel and Iran.
