Why does UPSC topper Anuj Agnihotri consider luck as the secret of success?

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of Civil Services Examination (CSE), 2025 on Friday. This time Anuj Agnihotri, resident of Rajasthan, has topped UPSC. Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull have secured second and third position respectively. This was the third attempt of Anuj Agnihotri, who secured the first position, in which he got the first rank.

 

Anuj is a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He did his early studies from Rawatbhata. After studying from Rawatbhata, he studied MBBS from Jodhpur AIIMS. He has been a doctor by profession. After this he thought of appearing for UPSC Civil Services Examination. While preparing for UPSC, he started realizing his dreams.

Danics qualified for

Anuj passed UPSC in his first attempt. Cleared DANICS in 1st attempt in 2023 and was allotted Delhi and Union Territory Services. After this he got appointment to the post of SDM in Delhi. Belonging to an ordinary family, Anuj’s father works in the Nuclear Power Plant of Kota, while his mother is a housewife.

Chose medical science as optional subject

Anuj Agnihotri had chosen ‘Medical Science’ as his optional subject in this examination. After his brilliant achievement, he said that he considers luck as a major reason behind his success.

How did you prepare?

Anuj Agnihotri, who believes in self-discipline and perseverance, mainly relied on online coaching. Along with this, to strengthen his preparation, he took guidance and prepared for the interview from Delhi-based Ensure IAS.
