New Delhi. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya escaped becoming a victim of a major accident today. While taking off, his helicopter suffered a technical fault due to which its display switched off and smoke started filling the cabin. In a hurry, emergency landing of the helicopter was done at Amausi Airport in Lucknow. Everyone aboard the helicopter including Keshav Prasad Maurya is completely safe. Senior officials related to administration and security have reached the spot. The fault in the helicopter is being investigated by the technical team.

The Deputy CM had flown in a helicopter from La Martiniere Ground in Lucknow to go to Kaushambi. The pilot realized a technical fault shortly after takeoff. The helicopter’s display suddenly stopped. Not only this, smoke started coming in the cabin of the helicopter. The hands and legs of all the people aboard the helicopter were swollen. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the pilot immediately contacted Lucknow ATC and told the whole story. After this, permission was sought for emergency landing at Amausi airport. As soon as the landing permission was received, the pilot turned the helicopter towards Amausi Airport and made a safe landing there.

During this time, security personnel including fire brigade team, ambulance were already deployed at the airport. As soon as the helicopter landed, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and others were taken out safely. Only after complete investigation will it be known what happened in the helicopter. After this incident, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya left for Kaushambi from Lucknow by road. The Deputy CM is to inaugurate the two-day Saras Mahotsav program organized in the grounds of Babu Singh Degree College located in Sayara, Kaushambi.
