For the first time in the history of Nepal, any party has the possibility of two-thirds majority.
Kathmandu. As the counting of votes for the House of Representatives elections continues, for the first time in the history of Nepal, there is a possibility of any one party getting two-thirds majority.
According to the latest trends, the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is fast moving towards a two-thirds majority. In the direct elections held on 165 seats, this party seems to be getting more than 120 seats.
Till 9 am on Saturday, this party has won 22 seats, while maintaining lead in 99 constituencies. Due to the huge lead on most of the seats, the chances of victory in these areas are considered strong.
If we look at the trends so far, RSP is seen crossing more than 120 seats under the direct election system. If proportional votes are also obtained in the same ratio, then it is considered possible for the party to achieve two-thirds majority. If this result becomes final, then for the first time in the parliamentary history of Nepal, any one party will get such a big mandate.
