Honor killing in Bahraich: Horrible punishment for love, girlfriend’s family members beat her with sticks and took her lover’s life.

Bahraich: A sensational incident of honor killing has come to light from Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Enraged by a love affair, the girl’s family brutally murdered a young man in Ranipur police station area. The accused first fraudulently invited the young man to their home and then attacked him with sticks. The police took immediate action in this case and arrested four main accused including the girl’s father and sent them behind the bars.

Called home by deception, then killed

The incident took place in Harduva village of Ranipur police station area. Deceased Raju was having a love affair with a girl from the same village for a long time. The girl’s family members were strongly against this relationship and were trying to remove Raju from the way. It is alleged that as part of a well-planned conspiracy, the family members called Raju home on the pretext of meeting him. As soon as Raju reached there, the girl’s father and uncles, who were already in ambush, attacked him. Raju was beaten so brutally that he died on the spot.

Action on brother’s complaint, father and three uncles arrested

As soon as the news of Raju’s death spread, there was panic in the area. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and sent the bleeding body for post-mortem. In the complaint given to the police by the deceased’s brother Nanke, he directly accused the girl’s family members of murder. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police raided and arrested four accused from Nizampur village. The arrested accused have been identified as the girl’s father Sahajram and uncles Sunil, Sampat and Rampat.

Court sent all the accused to jail

Ranipur police on Saturday presented the four murder accused in the court amid tight security. Considering the seriousness of the crime, the court ordered everyone to be sent to jail in judicial custody. Police officials say that forces have been deployed to maintain peace in the village and the work of collecting evidence is going on so that the harshest punishment can be given to the accused in the court. This incident has once again exposed the bitter truth of bigotry and violence prevalent in love relationships in the society.
