Digital payments are increasing rapidly in India and today most people use UPI for small and big payments. From buying vegetables to making payments at grocery and small shops, UPI has become the most popular payment medium.

But for every small transaction Entering UPI PIN can sometimes seem cumbersome. To solve this problem, National Payments Corporation of India UPI Lite Feature has been started.

UPI Lite is a feature that allows small payments to be completed instantly without entering the PIN. This facility is available in many apps like Paytm, Google Pay and BHIM.

What is UPI Lite?

UPI Lite One On-Device Wallet Works like. In this you first add some money and then you can make small payments immediately without entering the PIN.

When UPI Lite is activated, Payments up to ₹200 are made automatically through UPI Lite And for this there is no need to enter PIN every time.

UPI Lite Transaction Limit

Maximum payout in one transaction: ₹200
Maximum amount in wallet at one time: ₹2,000
You can add money twice a day
i.e. total Usage up to ₹4,000 per day is possible
There are no additional charges on these transactions

How to activate UPI Lite in Paytm

Download or update Paytm app.
Open the app and UPI Lite Select option.
Select a supported bank account.
Add amount to wallet.
Authenticate with UPI PIN.

Now you can make small payments without PIN.

How to turn on UPI Lite in Google Pay

Open the Google Pay app.
Select bank account for UPI Lite.
Activate it by following the instructions.

How to activate UPI Lite in BHIM app

Open BHIM app.
UPI Lite Select option.
Select bank account.
Add amount up to ₹2,000.
UPI Lite is designed to make small payments faster and easier. Through this, payments up to ₹ 200 can be made without PIN, making everyday digital transactions even easier.
