Dhurandhar 2 Trailer Out: Ranveer Singh Returns for Explosive Revenge Drama Ahead of March 19 Release
The trailer of Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the blockbuster 2025 action thriller, has been officially released. Directed by Aditya Dharthe film titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge will see Ranveer Singh reprise his role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza.
The much-awaited sequel is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, continuing the intense storyline introduced in the first installment.
Ranveer Singh Returns as Jaskirat aka Hamza
The trailer shows Ranveer Singh’s character rising through the ranks of a criminal network in Lyari while secretly working to dismantle a terror organization from within. His character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, is portrayed as a fearless operative navigating dangerous alliances.
The trailer hints at his growing influence in the underworld, suggesting he could become the “Lyari ka badshah” while pursuing a mission to destroy the terror network.
The high-energy preview ends with a powerful dialogue in which the protagonist declares that India will determine Pakistan’s future, setting the tone for a high-stakes geopolitical thriller.
Storyline Continues from the First Film
The original film Dhurandharreleased on December 5, 2025, followed an undercover Indian spy infiltrating a Baloch gang led by Rahman Dakait, played by Akshay Khanna.
The film also featured notable performances from Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjunand Rakesh Bedi.
The story ended with Hamza killing Rahman Dakait while concealing his true identity as Jaskirat, an undercover agent sent into Pakistan by Ajay Sanyal.
Massive Box Office Success
Despite receiving mixed critical reviews, Dhurandhar emerged as a massive commercial success, reportedly earning more than ₹1300 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
Interestingly, the film was released only in Hindi and did not screen in several Gulf countries due to its sensitive storyline.
Sequel to Release in Multiple Languages
Unlike the first film, Dhurandhar 2 will release not only in Hindi but also in multiple South Indian languages, expanding its reach to a wider audience across India.
Release Clash Avoided
The sequel initially faced a potential box-office clash with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Upsstarring Yash. However, the makers of the film recently postponed its release to June due to geopolitical tensions affecting overseas markets.
As a result, Dhurandhar 2 now has a clearer release window, though it may still compete with regional releases such as Ustaad Bhagat Singh starring Pawan Kalyan in Telugu-speaking regions.
Meanwhile, several other films—including Skins, The Paradiseand Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling—have adjusted their release schedules.
High Expectations Ahead of Release
With its action-packed trailer and continuation of a successful storyline, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to generate significant buzz at the box office when it arrives in theatres on March 19.
