30 government school principals of Punjab leave for Singapore, global training will strengthen the education system – CM Mann

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday sent off the eighth batch of 30 principals of government schools in the state for training in Singapore. This training program will be organized from 8 to 14 March at the Principal Academy of Singapore. The objective of this initiative is to introduce teachers and school heads of the state to international level education practices and further strengthen the public education system of Punjab.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister met the principals, wished them all the best and encouraged them for successful training. He said that the aim of the state government is to provide world class and quality education to the children of Punjab. With this in mind, the government is continuously providing international training opportunities to teachers and principals, so that they can learn new and modern teaching techniques.

Till now 234 principals have gone to Singapore

The Chief Minister said that this is the eighth batch which is being sent to Singapore. So far, a total of 234 principals and eight batches of education officers have gone to Singapore for training. He said that a transparent selection process has been adopted for this program. The principals selected by the District Education Officers were later verified, so that only the most deserving and deserving candidates could get this opportunity.

What will be taught in the training?

The CM said that during the training, the principals learn about modern and effective education methods, which they come back and implement in their schools. Due to this, students get better education and the level of education in schools also increases. According to the Chief Minister, this initiative is helping in taking the state’s education system to a new level.

Also expressed satisfaction over the performance of the students

The Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction over the performance of the students. He said that Punjab has performed well and secured first position in the National Achievement Survey conducted by the Government of India. This is the result of the hard work of the students and teachers of the state. He said that the state government is also giving special preparation opportunities to the students for various competitive examinations.

Special coaching being given to students

Students are being given special coaching to prepare for many competitive examinations including armed forces recruitment, medical and engineering entrance examinations. Around 300 students from School of Eminence and other government schools have qualified for examinations like JEE Mains, JEE Advanced and NEET.

CM told the objective of the government

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is not just to increase the number of schools, but to create such an education system that gives children the ability to dream big and fulfill them. He said that in the coming times, a person’s prosperity will not be measured by his wealth, but by the education received by his children.

Investment and employment opportunities were also mentioned

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also mentioned the investment and employment opportunities in the state. He told that on March 20, Tata Steel is going to start work in its second largest plant in India. Established at a cost of approximately Rs 3,200 crore, this project will create new employment opportunities for the youth and boost economic activities in the state. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and many other dignitaries were also present during the program.

In the end, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously taking new steps to strengthen education, so that the children of Punjab can get a better future and make their mark at the national and international level.
