Sam Karan wants to silence Indian fans at Wankhede
Sports Sports: England all-rounder Sam Curran has expressed hope that the Indian fans will be silenced at Wankhede in the semi-final against India.
India and England will clash at 7 pm tonight at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Before this match, Sam Curran told reporters in an interview:
My condolences to all those affected by the wars taking place around the world. We’re just focusing on Thursday night right now.
IPL has been good for us. Since childhood, it was my dream to defeat India on its own soil. Starting a match with the national anthem is a great experience. Especially at Wankhede, the fans make so much noise, watching the match is a great experience.
If the fans are quiet, it means England is playing well. This is what we hope for.
We have played a lot of cricket in India. We have to take advantage of this. For any young player, playing in the semi-finals against India would be a dream come true.
The fans are likely to be very excited with the two best teams playing. This is a wonderful stadium. We have been playing for the last four or five weeks and are in the semi-finals. Also, I hope we can go to the next round, the finals.
He said, “It was a bit difficult for us because India played in Sri Lanka. We adjusted very well and played well. Only 4 good teams have reached the semi-finals. Let’s see who wins the cup.”
