Putin calls Iran’s president in a war atmosphere, what did the two talk about?

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian in a war atmosphere. The two leaders had a phone conversation on Friday. Putin expressed grief over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His clear message was to stop hostilities and resolve the issue diplomatically.

The Kremlin said that Putin has clarified Russia’s position on the conflict in the Middle East. He has said that force will not be used to solve any problem arising in Iran or the Middle East. Hostilities must cease immediately. All problems should be resolved quickly through diplomatic means. Not only that, the Kremlin also said that Putin is in constant contact with the countries of the Gulf region.

Incidentally, one of Iran’s close friends is Russia. Moscow strongly condemned the US and joint attacks on Tehran. Russia also termed the whole incident as ‘unprovoked aggression’.

Meanwhile, a US media report on Friday claimed that Russia is helping Iran with secret intelligence in the Middle East conflict. The report claims that Iran could not have advanced even a single point without Russia’s help. Although the Kremlin has publicly stated, Tehran has not sought any help from them.
