Political change in Bihar: New direction after Nitish Kumar’s decision
Patna. Due to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to enter Rajya Sabha, significant changes may be seen in the politics of the state in the coming days. A decision regarding the new appointment of the Chief Minister is yet to be taken. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called Samrat Chaudhary to Bagdogra. On the other hand, Nishant Kumar is going to join the party by increasing his activism in JDU. He will formally assume membership during a ceremony at the party office on Sunday.
Nishant’s entry into politics
Nishant Kumar’s political journey will start from Champaran, which has also been witness to Nitish Kumar’s initial trips. He is expected to play an important role in the JDU organization, and there is discussion going on to make him the Deputy Chief Minister in the government. However, its official announcement has not been made yet. Presently Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha are working on this post.
Party activities and future plans
On Saturday, at the residence of JDU national working president Sanjay Jha, Nishant held a meeting with about one and a half dozen young MLAs of the party, in which senior leaders were also present. During the meeting, a long discussion was also held with the district heads. Even before joining the party, Nishant Kumar has made his intentions clear. He said that he is committed to carrying forward the work done by his father Nitish Kumar.

On Friday, in a meeting of party MPs, MLAs and MLCs chaired by Nitish Kumar, the proposal of Nishant joining JDU was agreed upon. Sanjay Jha presented this proposal, which was supported by everyone. On Sunday, he will be formally granted membership in front of senior party leaders. Before this, Nishant will visit Mahavir temple and offer prayers.
