Strictness on Rangpanchami in Indore’s Rajwada, police arrested 16 miscreants

The festival of Rangpanchami is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year in Indore. On this day, thousands of people participate in the procession in Rajwada area and the city becomes drenched in colours. But this time the administration showed strictness to maintain order.

On the occasion of Rangpanchami on Sunday, the police took major action against the miscreants in Rajwada area. The police caught the youths who were creating chaos during the riots, made them sit in buses and took strict action against many people. After this action of the police, it helped a lot in maintaining law and order in the entire area and the atmosphere remained controlled.

Action taken against 16 miscreants

According to the police, preventive action was taken against a total of 16 people who created nuisance and disorder during the Ger. All of them were caught and presented before the ACP court.

Apart from this, different teams caught more than 100 people and took them to MG Road and Sarafa police station. Later, after investigation and questioning, many people were released with a warning, while strict action was taken against 16 people. Police say that during the riots, they were keeping an eye on those who threw shoes and slippers, threw Ramraj and spread other types of chaos.

School buses turned into temporary jails

Due to the gathering of a large number of people during Rangpanchami, the police had already made special preparations. School buses were used as makeshift jails to hold miscreants.

Those who were found violating the rules during the flight were immediately caught and made to sit in these buses. Later he was taken to the police station and action was taken. This police arrangement helped in controlling the miscreants on the spot and prevented chaos from spreading in the crowd.

More than 150 bracelets were removed

During the riot, the police also removed the bangles worn by many youths. The police seized bracelets of about 150 people and also searched them. Police say that during Ger, many times people can harm others by using bangles or other things. Therefore, this action was taken keeping security in mind. During this period, the police team continued to investigate and monitor people.

Senior officials kept an eye on

Senior police officers were also present on the spot to monitor Rajwada area during Rangpanchami. Additional Police Commissioner (Law) Amit Singh remained posted at Rajwada Chowk and kept an eye on the entire situation.

Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh was monitoring the entire event from the control room. Police forces were deployed in many parts of the city so that no untoward incident took place anywhere.

Special squad for women’s safety

The police had also made special arrangements for the safety of women during Rangpanchami. This time a separate special squad was formed for the safety of women in GER. The responsibility of this team was given to Additional DCP Zone-1 Meena Chauhan. About 50 women policemen were deployed around Rajwada.

Strict action was also being taken against those who tried to throw colors on women or harass them. The police caught many people on the spot and counseled them.

Strict measures to maintain order

Police say that in big events like Rangpanchami, a crowd of thousands of people gather. In such a situation, maintaining order is a big challenge. For this reason, this time the police had already prepared a strict strategy. Police force was deployed along the entire route of Ger and constant vigil was being maintained. Due to this action, the Rangpanchami festival passed off peacefully and no major incident was reported.
