Haryana government distributed Rs 1884 crore to the beneficiaries under various schemes.

Haryana News: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini held a press conference in Chandigarh today, during his address, he informed that a total of Rs 1884 crore has been distributed to the beneficiaries under various social and welfare schemes in the state.

A total of Rs 842 crore 92 lakh deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister said that under the social security pension schemes, a total of Rs 842 crore 92 lakh was deposited directly into the bank accounts of 26 lakh 12 thousand beneficiaries. This includes old age respect allowance, disability allowance and other social security pensions. The payment was made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), symbolizing the government’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

Benefits to farmers under Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme

The Chief Minister said that under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, a total of Rs 711 crore 69 lakh was distributed in the bank accounts of 1,67,460 farmers for Kharif 2025 crops. He also informed that in the last 11 years, Rs 16,160 crore has been distributed so far as crop insurance and compensation amount to the farmers.

Financial assistance to middlemen also

Saini said that today Rs 56 crore 97 lakh was given to about 11,199 commission agents directly in their bank accounts. A total amount of approximately Rs 239 crore 28 lakh has been distributed to commission agents during the Kharif procurement season 2025-26. Apart from this, commission at the rate of ₹55 per quintal was paid to commission agents on wheat, paddy and millet in Rabi-Kharif season 2024-25.

Financial assistance under Dayalu Scheme

The Chief Minister said that under Dayalu Scheme 2, financial assistance of Rs 205 crore 42 lakh was provided to 5,409 families today. Till now, a total of Rs 2086 crore 77 lakh has been distributed to 55,407 families under this scheme. This scheme provides financial security to families in the event of injury or accidental death due to the bite or killing of a stray animal.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural)

Saini said that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Rs 67 crore was released in the accounts of 12,353 beneficiaries for construction of houses. From 2016-17 till now, a total financial assistance of Rs 720 crore 22 lakh has been provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that all these efforts are being made to improve the standard of living of the citizens of the state, to provide economic security and for the welfare of rural and weaker sections. He directed all the departments to ensure distribution of funds to the beneficiaries in a prompt and transparent manner.
