Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking: Ranveer Singh’s comeback with a bang, advance bookings of Dhurandhar 2 broke records, tickets sold worth more than 2 lakhs

Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking: Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar created a stir as soon as it was released in theaters in December. Now that the release of its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge is just a few days away, it seems that it is also going to be a huge hit like the first part. When the trailer of the film was released last week, advance bookings for the preview show also opened. Although tickets are currently available only for select shows on March 18 (Wednesday), the collection has crossed the opening day records of many films.

Advance bookings of Dhurandhar 2 started at 11:01 am after the trailer release on 7 March. In just 24 hours, 87,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow alone. By the morning of March 9, this number reached 1.5 lakh and in total more than 2 lakh tickets had been sold. According to Sacnilk, the film’s premiere show has sold 2.06 lakh tickets across India and grossed ₹12.29 crore. While most of the earnings came from the Hindi version, the Tamil dub exceeded expectations and earned around ₹10 lakh from the preview shows.

New record of Bollywood premiere collection

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has now created a new record in the premiere show collections of Bollywood films, and has crossed the ₹10 crore mark of Stree 2. The premiere is still 9 days away, so this number is likely to increase further.

Just by the advance booking of the premiere day, Dhurandhar 2 has left behind the opening day collections of many Bollywood films. The earning of ₹12.29 crore is more than that of Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, which were able to earn around ₹9 crore and ₹12 crore respectively on the opening day.

Dhurandhar 2: Story and Cast

Both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2 were shot as a single film, but were split into two parts a few weeks before the release of Part 1. Dhurandhar 2 sees the return of Ranveer Singh who plays Hamza aka Jaskirat, an Indian spy in Karachi. The sequel will show his story and his revenge against the Lyari gangs after the 26/11 terrorist attacks. Along with this, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun are also returning to the film. This film is being released in theaters on March 19.
