Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10R Gets A Massive Rs 2.89 Lakh Discount
In a market where big bike prices usually only go one way, Kawasaki has done something rare. The Ninja ZX 10R, the brand litre class supersport, is now being offered with a straight discount of Rs 2.89 lakh for a limited period. For riders who have been sitting on the fence about a 1000 cc superbike, this is one of the most aggressive offers seen on a full fat Japanese litre bike in recent times.
The bike standard ex showroom price is Rs 20.79 lakh. With the full discount applied, the effective ex showroom price drops to Rs 17.90 lakh, at least till 31 March 2026. The offer has been announced as a limited period scheme, and as always, final availability will depend on dealer stock in each city.
What you get for Rs 17.90 lakh
Mechanically, Kawasaki has not touched the bike. The Ninja ZX 10R continues to use its 998 cc, liquid cooled inline four engine that produces around 193 bhp at 13,000 rpm in standard form, and up to about 202 bhp with the RAM Air intake in play. Peak torque stands at 112 Nm. The motor is paired with a six speed gearbox and comes with a bidirectional quickshifter as standard.
Recent updates have also made the engine E20 compliant, which means it is ready for the higher ethanol blend fuel that is being rolled out at pumps. That matters for long term ownership because it reduces the risk of performance or reliability issues as regular petrol formulations change.
On the electronics side, the ZX 10R is packed to a level that matches its performance. You get multiple riding modes, traction control, launch control, cruise control, engine brake control and dual channel ABS, all controlled through a colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Hardware includes Showa BFF front forks and a Showa BFRC rear monoshock, with an Ohlins electronic steering damper helping keep things stable at high speed.
Who should be looking at this deal

At its original price, the ZX 10R already undercut most of its key rivals like the BMW S 1000 RR and Ducati Panigale V4 by a healthy margin. At Rs 17.90 lakh ex showroom, it moves into a space where some high-end middleweight bikes start to look expensive in comparison.
For a rider planning focused track use, the discount can easily free up budget for proper race leathers, track tyres and regular track day fees. For someone upgrading from a 600 or 650 cc bike, it brings the jump to a full litre class machine closer without stretching the on road price as brutally as before.
The key, as always with such limited time offers, is to check actual bike availability and colour options at your local dealership, and to factor in the full on road price with insurance and registration. But purely on numbers, the Rs 2.89 lakh cut makes the Ninja ZX 10R one of the strongest value plays in the current big bike space for riders who are ready for the performance it offers.
