Haryana: Relief to 26 lakh pensioners in Haryana, CM Nayab Saini released Rs 1884 crore

Haryana News: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has released a total amount of Rs 1884 crore under various government schemes, giving huge relief to lakhs of beneficiaries of the state. In the press conference held in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said that this amount has been transferred directly to the accounts of social security schemes, farmers, commission agents and other beneficiaries.

Rs 842 crore reached the accounts of 26 lakh pensioners

The Chief Minister said that under various social security pension schemes, an amount of Rs 842 crore 92 lakh has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of 26 lakh 12 thousand beneficiaries. This includes old age respect allowance, disability allowance and other social security pensions.

He said that this payment being made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) shows the government’s commitment towards transparency and good governance.

Eligibility is decided by family identity card

CM Saini said that under the proactive model, the eligibility of the beneficiaries is automatically determined on the basis of the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) database. This makes it easier to deliver the benefits of the schemes to the right people.

Crop insurance claim of Rs 711 crore to farmers

The government has also given great relief to the farmers. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Under this, insurance claims have been issued for Kharif 2025 crops.

An amount of Rs 711 crore 69 lakh has been transferred to the bank accounts of 1 lakh 67 thousand 460 farmers. According to the Chief Minister, in the last 11 years, a total amount of Rs 16,160 crore has been given to the farmers under the crop compensation and crop insurance scheme.

Brokers also got paid

An amount of Rs 56 crore 97 lakh has been sent directly to the bank accounts of about 11,199 commission agents of the state. A total of Rs 239 crore 28 lakh has been paid to commission agents so far during the Kharif procurement season 2025-26.

The government has decided to pay commission at the rate of ₹55 per quintal to commission agents on wheat, paddy and millet from Rabi-Kharif season 2024-25.

Assistance to families under Dayalu Scheme

The Chief Minister told that Dayalu Yojana Under this, financial assistance of Rs 205 crore 42 lakh has been given to 5,409 families. So far, 55,407 families have received total assistance of Rs 2,086 crore 77 lakh under this scheme.

The government has also implemented Dayalu Scheme-2 for financial assistance in case of injury or death due to attack by stray animals.

Assistance also under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Other than this Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin Under this, an amount of Rs 67 crore has been released into the bank accounts of 12,353 beneficiaries for house construction.

According to the government, a total financial assistance of Rs 720 crore 22 lakh has been provided to the beneficiaries under this scheme from the year 2016-17 till now.
