Air India has decided to operate 78 additional international flights across nine routes to manage the surge in travel demand caused by disruptions in the Middle East. The extra flights will run between March 10 and March 18increasing connectivity between India and several global destinations.
The move aims to help passengers who were affected by flight cancellations or reduced services after several airlines altered routes or suspended operations due to regional tensions.
Major International Routes Covered
The additional flights will operate between major Indian cities and international hubs, including:
- Delhi – New York (JFK)
- Delhi – London (Heathrow)
- Mumbai – London (Heathrow)
- Delhi – Frankfurt
- Delhi – Paris (CDG)
- Delhi – Amsterdam
- Delhi – Zurich
- Delhi – Colombo
- Delhi – Small
These extra services will add about 17,660 additional seats across the airline’s network during the period.
Why the Extra Flights Are Needed
