Punjab News: Laying the foundation stone of a government degree college to be built at a cost of Rs 15 crore in Ajnala area adjacent to the international border, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP together looted Punjab for decades. These parties weakened state institutions and forced the youth to go abroad in search of employment.
Resolution to make Rangla Punjab
The Chief Minister said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is creating employment opportunities by strengthening education. This new college is a strong step towards making Punjab “Rangla Punjab” again. He announced that this college will be named after the great knowledgeable Baba Gamchuk Ji Maharaj.
Participation of every Punjabi is necessary
CM Mann said that the government will provide all the necessary facilities, but to make Punjab prosperous again, every Punjabi will have to contribute as per his capacity. He said that its aim is to ensure that children do not have to go abroad for a better future.
Opposition has no agenda
Addressing the public meeting, the Chief Minister said that there is infighting among traditional political parties because they do not have any concrete plan for the welfare of the public. He said that the opposition only thinks of looting power and resources, but the conscious people of Punjab recognize such leaders.
Rapid development in education and health
The Chief Minister said that his government is giving impetus to development by opening common man clinics, schools and colleges. Education and health have been said to be the priority of the government.
Youth of border areas will get benefits
The Chief Minister said that this co-educational college to be built in Bakraur village will be developed on 15 acres of land. Rs 15 crore will be spent on this and the youth of 50 nearby villages will get direct benefits from it. He thanked the Panchayat and the villagers for donating the land.
Modern courses will be conducted
Courses like Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education will be started in this college. The Chief Minister said that this will provide opportunities for higher education to more than 2000 students in the future, especially girls.
Free education to children of land donors
The Chief Minister announced that students of the village who had donated land for the college would be given free education here. He appealed to the parents to provide quality education to their children so that they are not forced to go abroad.
Youth employment and reverse migration
On the issue of migration, CM Mann said that the previous governments ignored the despair of the youth. His government has given government jobs to more than 63 thousand youth on the basis of merit and reverse migration is being promoted.
Big relief to border farmers
The Chief Minister said that the Central Government has given in-principle approval for further shifting of barbed wire along the international border. This will make farming possible on thousands of acres of land without any hindrance and will provide relief to the border farmers.
Result of visionary thinking of the government
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this project will change the future of the youth of the border district. Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia said that the absence of colleges in the 70 km area was a big problem, which has now been resolved.

This college will become a center for social equality and youth empowerment in the border area. With modern education, vocational training and sports facilities, this institute will strengthen the equal opportunity governance model of the Mann government.
