Hyundai Verna Sedan Facelift’s First TVC Is Here

Hyundai India has just launched the facelifted iteration of its popular sedan, the Verna, in India. This new sedan has been launched with a price tag of Rs 10.98 lakh. Now, in order to promote the newly launched Verna, Hyundai has shared a new Television Commercial (TVC). The Verna has been positioned to lure in the younger generation of buyers who are looking for a high-performing sedan.

The TVC of the newly launched Hyundai Verna has been shared on YouTube by Hyundai India on their official channel. It starts off with a scene at a country club where two elderly men were staring at the newly launched Hyundai Verna, finished in the classy shade of black. From this sporty sedan, a young man with his tennis racquet comes out and greets these men.

Soon after, the exterior design of the new Verna is shown while it was parked outside a corporate office. It can be noted that a group of young employees was checking out the new sedan. Next up, a young army chief was seen arriving at the base in his Verna. And in the last scene, a young man was seen taking the keys of his Verna from the valet and giving him his scarf. During these scenes, the video highlights the new design and added features of the new Verna facelift.

2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift: What’s new?

For the 2026 model year, Hyundai has given the new Verna a mid-life refresh. It now gets a newly designed front grille finished in black chrome, and it is slightly larger than before. Additionally, the headlights have also been changed and now get a dual-projector LED headlight setup. Also, the front bumper of this sedan has been changed.

Moving to the profile, the new Verna facelift remains the same and boasts the same sporty, coupe-like sloping roofline and silhouette. The only major change is the alloy wheel design. This sedan gets a set of new 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. As for the rear, the new Verna comes offered with a sporty double-bubble spoiler on the boot lid and a sharper rear bumper with an aggressive rear diffuser with silver garnish.

The new Verna facelift remains the same in terms of dimensions. It measures 4,565 mm in length and 1,765 mm in width, and its wheelbase is 2,670 mm. Presently, it is the longest sedan in the segment and also the widest. The Verna rivals the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and the Volkswagen Virtus in India. This time around, Hyundai has also added two new color options – Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte.

Interior upgrades

On the inside, the new Verna now gets a new D-cut steering wheel, updated leatherette seat upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, and a 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat. It also gets a number of segment-first features, including a driver seat memory function with welcome feature, electric walk-in device for co-driver seat, rear window sunshade, built-in dashcam, 7 airbags, smart trunk, boss mode, ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera, and many others.

Powertrain

Powertrain options have been kept the same as the previous model. It gets the same 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine, which makes 115 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, and comes offered with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. The other option is the 1.5-litre turbo GDi petrol engine, which makes 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, and it is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
