Poco X8 Pro Series Set to Launch on March 17
Mumbai, March 9, 2026 (Read) : Chinese smartphone maker Poco is set to launch its new Poco X8 Pro series next week. The series is expected to include Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max models. Some details about the specifications of these smartphones have surfaced through leaks, suggesting that the series may focus on performance.
In a post on social media platform XPoco confirmed that the new smartphone series will be launched on March 17. However, the company has not officially revealed the specifications of the Poco X8 Pro series.
According to leaks, the Poco X8 Pro may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processorwhile the Poco X8 Pro Max could feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset.
The Poco X8 Pro is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. For security, the smartphone may include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. It could run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box.
In terms of photography, the device may come with a dual rear camera setupincluding a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies and video calls, it could feature a 20-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone is expected to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging.
The device has reportedly been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with the model number Xiaomi 2511FPC34Gwhere it scored 6,297 points in the single-core test and 6,297 points in the multi-core test. The smartphone may be available in White, Green and Black colour options.
In India, the Poco X8 Pro has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and in South Korea from the RRA.
Another Xiaomi smartphone with model number Xiaomi 2602BPC18G has also appeared on Geekbench recently. This device is believed to be the Poco X8 Pro Maxwhich scored 2,659 points in the single-core test and 8,386 points in the multi-core test.
