Lucknow, Bureau.On this auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, a gift of happiness has come for lakhs of Anganwadi workers of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made several historic announcements under ‘Mission Shakti’, providing economic and social security cover to the Anganwadi sisters of the state. The government has not only transferred crores of rupees into their bank accounts, but has also decided to provide them with facilities like Ayushman card, saree-uniform and insurance while guaranteeing their health and dignity.

₹38.49 crore reached the accounts of Anganwadi workers from DBT

The Chief Minister has deposited money into the bank accounts of thousands of Anganwadi workers of the state through a single click. Rs 38.49 crore amount directly Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Sent through. This amount has been given in the form of their uniform (saree) and other incentives. On this occasion, the Chief Minister described Anganwadi sisters as the ‘foundation’ of the society and assured that the government is seriously considering a respectable increase in their honorarium, the official announcement of which is possible soon.

Ayushman card and insurance scheme will guarantee security

The government has announced that now all Anganwadi workers Ayushman Bharat Scheme Under this, free treatment up to ₹ 5 lakh will be available. Apart from this, insurance cover will also be provided to protect their family in case of any untoward incident while on duty. The Chief Minister made it clear that the health and safety of these women who are responsible for nutrition and child development in rural areas is the top priority of the government.

‘Drone Didi’ and ‘E-Rickshaw Wali Didi’ shine from Varanasi to Jaunpur

During the program, CM Yogi interacted directly with more than 600 women from Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli and Ghazipur through video conferencing. During this, women shared their inspiring success stories:

Drone Didi: Durga Maurya of Jaunpur told how she is using technology in farming in the form of Drone Didi and is giving employment to other women from her salt factory.

E-rickshaw driver: Sita Devi of Varanasi has made 250 women self-reliant by purchasing e-rickshaws from the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana and training them.

Flower farming: Soni Kumari of Chandauli has given a new identity to flower farming through women’s groups.

Women empowerment: Women are joining the mainstream of society

The Chief Minister said that “Today’s woman is no longer powerless, but self-reliant.” These workers who provide early development of children and care of pregnant women through Anganwadi centers should get the respect they deserve in the society. This initiative of the government will not only improve their economic condition, but they will also be able to play their role in the development of the society with more energy.
