IPL 2026 MI Head Coach

Former Sri Lanka cricketer and Coach Mahela Jayawardene is the head coach of the Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2026 season. He was appointed as the head coach of Mumbai Indians on October 13, 2024.

IPL 2026 MI Batting Coach

Trinidadian cricketer and former Mumbai Indians cricketer Kieron Pollard is the current batting coach of the Mumbai Indians.

In November 2022, Kieron Pollard was appointed as the batting coach of the Mumbai Indians following his retirement from IPL. Apart from serving the Mumbai franchise in IPL, Pollard was appointed as the assistant coach of the England cricket team in December 2023 for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Mumbai Indians also roped in former Indian cricketer Jagadeesh Arunkumar as their assistant batting coach in December 2022. After retiring in 2008, Arunkumar turned to coaching and was the batting coach of the Karnataka side when they won their back-to-back titles in the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

IPL 2026 MI Bowling Coach

Lasith Malinga and Paras Mhambrey are the bowling coaches of the Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2026 season.

In October 2024, former India seamer Paras Mhambrey who had served as MI’s assistant coach previously was appointed as MI’s bowling coach and will work alongside current bowling coach Lasith Malinga.

Earlier in February 2018, Malinga was appointed as the bowling mentor for the Mumbai Indians team while Shane Bond was the bowling coach for the side in the IPL 2018 season. For the IPL 2022 season, he was appointed as the fast bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals.
