Nothing Phone (4a) is available in three variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. The base variant is priced at Rs 31,999, the mid variant is priced at Rs 34,999, and the top variant is priced at Rs 37,999.
At the same time, Motorola Edge 70 has been launched in only one variant, 8GB + 256GB, which is priced at Rs 29,999. Although the Motorola Edge 70 is priced slightly lower, the Nothing Phone (4a) gives users more options.
Design: Unique looks vs sturdy construction
The design of the Nothing Phone (4a) is unique due to its transparent back and Glyph Bar. It has small LED lights that light up during calls, notifications and alerts. Its thickness is 8.55mm and weight is 204 grams, and it also comes with IP64 rating, which keeps it safe from light rain and water splashes.
In contrast, the Motorola Edge 70 comes with more sturdiness and premium construction. It has IP68 and IP69 rating, which protects it from dust, water and light shocks. It is only 5.99mm thick and weighs 159 grams, and the aluminum frame and fabric textured back panel make it even more attractive.
Display: uniform experience
Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution, HDR10+ support, 120Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 color gamut. The Motorola Edge 70 features a pOLED display, while the Nothing Phone (4a) offers an AMOLED display. The Nothing Phone (4a) seems to be more balanced in terms of audio quality between the two phones.
Performance: Snapdragon processor
Both phones come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor. The Motorola Edge 70 has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the Nothing Phone (4a) has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Both phones perform smoothly in daily use, but the Motorola Edge 70 is more efficient at multitasking.
Camera: Versatile vs. Details
Nothing Phone (4a) has a triple camera setup, which includes a 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide and 50MP telephoto lens. On the front, there is a 32MP camera which is suitable for portrait and zoom photography.

Nothing Phone (4a) comes with NothingOS 4.1 software based on Android 16. Its interface is very clean. Whereas, Motorola Edge 70 offers Hello UI like stock Android and has Moto AI features. The Nothing Phone (4a) guarantees six years of software security updates, while the Motorola Edge 70 guarantees four years.
Battery and Charging
Nothing Phone (4a) has a 5400mAh battery and supports 50W charging, but it will not come with a charger in the box. The Motorola Edge 70 has a 5000mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging, which is included with the charger. Motorola Edge 70 is fast in charging speed, which gets fully charged in just 44 minutes.
Which phone is better?
Both smartphones are designed for different users. If you like unique design and telephoto camera, Nothing Phone (4a) might be a better option. Whereas, if you need a sturdy build, better detailed cameras and faster charging, then Motorola Edge 70 would be more suitable.
