There will be no clash between ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ and ‘Toxic’, new release date of Varun Dhawan’s film announced.
New Delhi: There are often conflicts in Bollywood regarding the release date of big films, but this time the producers have taken a different decision showing mutual understanding. The release date of actor Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde’s film ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’ has been extended by a week. Earlier this film was scheduled to hit the theaters on June 5, but now the audience will have to wait till June 12 for it. This decision has been taken after the new release date of Yash’s much awaited film ‘Toxic’ was revealed.
Manufacturers issued official statement
The film’s director David Dhawan and Tips Films’ managing director Ramesh Taurani issued a joint statement informing about the change in the release date. They said that, "We would like to clarify that our film Jawaani Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Haal was actually going to be released on June 5, we had told this date several months in advance. But, considering recent developments and the current situation, we felt it would be better to postpone our release."

The makers also said in their statement that, "We believe that when filmmakers support each other instead of unnecessarily competing on the same date, it is always good for the industry. In this spirit of unity, we have decided to postpone the release of ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ to June 12 and bring our film to the audience a week later."
There will be no change in promotion plan
Despite changing the release date, there has been no change in the promotion strategy of the film. The film team will launch the trailer and songs as per the pre-planned schedule. It is expected that the audience will remain excited about the film before its new release in mid-June. Apart from Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, actors like Chunky Pandey, Ali Asgar, Rajesh Kumar, Rakesh Bedi and Kubbra Sait will also be seen in important roles in this film.
Release of Yash’s ‘Toxic’ also changed
Actually, the reason for this change is the new release date of Yash’s film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. Earlier this film was scheduled to hit the theaters on March 19, but now it has been decided to release it worldwide on June 4, 2026. The film team said that ‘Toxic’ has been made keeping in mind a large international audience. The film has been shot in Kannada and English languages and will be released globally.

According to the producers, the current international situation, especially the ongoing instability in the Middle East, has affected the release strategy of the film. In such an environment, it was not considered right to release the film on the earlier date. For this reason, the film team thoughtfully decided to postpone the release date. Now ‘Toxic’ will be released in theaters worldwide on June 4, 2026 in English and many Indian languages.
It is noteworthy that earlier ‘Toxic’ was going to clash with the film ‘Dhurandhar Part 2’, which is still scheduled to release on March 19. But due to the new dates, now an attempt has been made to avoid a possible clash at the box office.
