Big update regarding land survey in Bihar, government sets new deadline
Patna. The government has once again shown strictness regarding the special land survey campaign going on in Bihar. Preparations have now been started to complete this long-running process within the stipulated time frame. The Deputy Chief Minister of the state and the Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms have made it clear that the land survey in the entire state will be completed by December 2027.
The government says that this survey is necessary to make the old records related to land correct and systematic. This can also help in reducing land related disputes in future.
Important meeting will be held on the progress of the survey
An important meeting is being organized on March 13 to understand the status of land survey work. This meeting will be held at 2 pm at the Revenue Survey Training Institute located in Shastri Nagar, Patna. Vijay Kumar Sinha himself will preside over the meeting. During this time, officials associated with all the districts of the state will give information about the survey work going on in their respective areas. The government will also see in which districts the work is being done at a fast pace and where the pace is slow.
Keep an eye on slow moving districts
A detailed review of the progress of land survey work will be done in the meeting. Answers can also be sought from the officials of the districts where the survey work is not going on at the expected pace. The government wants that this campaign should be taken forward at a faster pace in the coming times.
Farmers raised many complaints
During the land survey, many farmers have also complained about irregularities in the documents related to the land. Some people say that the area of the land has not been recorded correctly, while in many places the necessary information is not available in the rent receipt. Due to these reasons, disputes regarding land have also arisen in many villages. Disagreements have emerged in many families regarding distribution and possession of land.
Challenge before the government
The biggest challenge before the state government is to complete the land survey on time and also correct the errors in the records. If this process is completed properly then land related disputes can be reduced to a great extent in future. Now everyone’s eyes are on the pace at which the land survey campaign progresses in Bihar after the new deadline of the government and the continuous review meetings.
