This vision aims to transform the Indian Army into a modern, integrated and technologically advanced force in line with the goal of a developed India by 2047. This roadmap has been prepared in line with future war challenges, global and regional security threats and technical requirements.
Roadmap for a modern and integrated army
The Vision 2047 document is a comprehensive blueprint prepared by the Integrated Defense Staff Headquarters. Its objective is to establish better coordination between all the three military branches – Army, Navy and Air Force. The document states that to be successful in future wars, cooperation between armies in planning, operations and capability development is necessary. Along with this, it also has a roadmap to prepare the soldiers to deal with every scenario of war through advanced training and new technologies.

The officials assured to provide strategic direction and resources to implement this vision.
