Tom Cruise films secret video celebrating Paramount’s legacy

Tom Cruise climbed on the Melrose Avenue lot’s iconic water tower to shoot for a secret reel that reportedly celebrates new beginnings and the legacy of Paramount.

As per the sources told to Deadline, Cruise was spotted shooting scenes for the video, which will publicize the “brand new day” at Paramount.

The clip supports the CEO David Ellison’s aim to build an entertainment empire after the Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery merger.

Sources say the project is still in development, and it is not specified which other actors or filmmakers may appear in the video. It is also not yet known whether the piece is intended for internal use or a public unveiling, possibly at April’s CinemaCon.

Jon M. Chu, who recently directed the Wicked films, is directing the video. The project is designed to spotlight the studio’s history and legacy while also looking ahead to its future, a topic that has dominated conversations across Hollywood in recent months.

Chu recently strengthened his ties with Paramount after signing a first-look deal with both its film and television divisions in December.

A spokesperson for Paramount declined to comment.
