Every team that wins the ICC Trophy will be honored, what will happen in Naman Award 2026?

Recently, the Indian cricket team has created history by winning the T20 World Cup. In the last few years, the women’s cricket team has won the World Cup, the men’s team has won the Champions Trophy and the 2024 World Cup. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that it will honor all those Indian teams who have won ICC tournaments in the Naman Awards to be held on March 15. This program will be organized in the country’s capital Delhi on 15th March i.e. coming Sunday.

 

The victory of Indian cricket will be celebrated in this program. In this, ICC tournament winning teams, top performers and players who have performed brilliantly in domestic cricket in 2024-25 will also be honored.

What is the plan?

 

Regarding this, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has said, ‘BCCI Awards will be held on March 15 in Delhi. We have planned to invite all the ICC tournament winning teams along with their coaches. This includes all the senior men’s teams, senior women’s teams, Under-19 women’s and men’s teams who have won ICC tournaments. He has also said that this program will be held in a hotel near the airport in Delhi because all the players have to join the pre-season camp of their respective teams for the IPL starting from March 28.

In this way, a total of five teams will be invited to this event because these teams have won ICC tournaments in the last few years. This includes the team captained by Surya Kumar Yadav that recently won the T20 World Cup, the team that won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, the women’s team that won the World Cup in 2025, the men’s team that won the Under 19 World Cup and the women’s team that won the Under 19 T20 World Cup.

One team was captained by Surya Kumar Yadav, one was captained by Rohit Sharma, the World Cup winning team was captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup was captained by Ricky Prasad and the Under 19 World Cup winning men’s team was captained by Ayush Mhatre.
