IPL: Kohli becomes the first Indian batsman to complete 13,000 runs in T20 Gujarati

Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli has achieved another historic achievement in an important match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Playing against Mumbai Indians on Monday, Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score 13,000 runs in T20 cricket.

With this achievement, Kohli has become only the fifth batsman in the world to score 13,000 runs in T20 cricket. Before this, this feat has been achieved by Chris Gayle of West Indies (14,562 runs), Alex Hales of England (13,610 runs), Shoaib Malik of Pakistan (13,557 runs) and Kieron Pollard of West Indies (13,537 runs).

Kohli’s dominance in average and strike rate also
36 year old Virat Kohli’s average in T20 cricket is around 42 and his strike rate is 134. So far he has scored 9 centuries and 98 half-centuries, which is proof of the dominance of any batsman in this format.

Before this match against Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli was the highest run scorer in IPL. So far he has scored 8111 runs in 256 matches, his average is 38.81 and strike rate is 132.01.
