Govinda admitted that he is attracted towards Neelam Kothari
Over the past few decades, Govinda has worked with many famous Bollywood actresses. But his first heroine was Neelam Kothari. When they started giving hit films together, rumors of their dating started doing rounds in the industry. Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Hero No. 1 opened up about his feelings for Kothari.
He went back in time and remembered that youngsters like him coming from small towns were crazy about “Goriya”. Calling Neelam a “good girl”, he admitted, “It’s like opposites attract. She was different and a very nice girl. She looked like a doll.”
Talking about the rumors of his love for Neelam, Govinda clarified, “At that time affairs like these were not possible.” He told that they had a lot of fun together and just went with the flow. He said, “The earlier romance was that of the mother watching.”
At first it was difficult for him to believe that he was really working with Kothari. Her “doll-type personality” reminded him of the times when he would watch her films and whistle in praise of her performances. Talking about his self-proclaimed actress, Govinda further said that she was really lucky to have him.
It was because of the comfort and chemistry between them that they were able to work well together and gave many hit songs and films like Sindoor, Hatiya, Farz Ki Jung, Billu Badshah and Do Qaidi.
