Paul Walter Hauser offered for cast in Netflix ‘Scooby-Doo’ series
Netflix is gearing up to bring Scooby-Doo to live-action and has made an offer to Paul Walter Hauser for an important role in the upcoming series.
As per What on Netflixa source confirmed the news that Hauser has been offered the role of Scooby’s original owner for the upcoming Netflix adaptation.
Back in March 2025, Netflix gave a script-to-series order to a new one-hour live-action take on the classic Scooby-Doo. The project is being developed by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with writers Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg leading the creative team.
Since that announcement, casting updates have been relatively limited as the creators shape this new version of Mystery Inc.
The first major reveal came in December 2025 when Frank Welker was selected to voice Scooby-Doo. More recently, McKenna Grace was confirmed to take on the role of Daphne Blake.
While further casting announcements for the remaining Mystery Inc. members are expected soon, sources say Paul Walter Hauser has been offered the role of Scooby’s original owner.
