Under the new rule, now consumers will not be able to book a new gas cylinder before completion of 25 days of the previous delivery. The government says that this step will improve the availability of gas and domestic customers will be able to get the cylinder on priority.

The energy market has been affected at the international level due to the ongoing tension in West Asia and challenges related to fuel supply. In such a situation, the government wants that the supply of LPG in the country should remain smooth and gas cylinders should reach every household on time. For this purpose, the booking interval has been fixed at 25 days, so that unnecessary booking can be stopped.
Domestic consumers will get priority
According to the ministry, this new system will provide relief to those families who often face the problem of gas shortage or late delivery. Now the distribution system will be made more organized so that gas cylinders can reach the needy consumers first.
Rules applicable to online and offline booking also
This rule applies to gas agency, mobile app, website or phone. Will be applicable to all types of booking done through call. If any consumer tries to book before 25 days, the system will not accept it.
The government believes that this change will bring transparency in LPG distribution and the availability of gas will remain balanced across the country. Experts also say that this decision can make it easier for needy consumers to get gas on time.
