Why did Shivam Dubey have to travel by train?

In fact, after winning the T20 World Cup 2026, the schedule of any mass welcome program or bus parade was not immediately prepared by the BCCI. Due to this, the players did not return to their homes together by chartered flight but all the players returned to their homes separately.

Why did the players not travel collectively?

Apart from this, some players also had different personal plans, due to which some players went straight home, some went on leave and some left to join the camps of their IPL teams. In such a situation, there was no mass travel for all the players of Team India. Whereas Hardik Pandya, Akshar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah’s homes are in Gujarat, hence they did not need a flight.

Why BCCI could not manage ticket for Dubey?

BCCI makes travel arrangements for the Indian team for any foreign tour or domestic series. She also manages the flight tickets of the players. Apart from the players, the entire travel planning of the coaching staff and support staff is done by BCCI. This includes flight ticket booking, hotel reservation, visa arrangements and local transportation. But why did BCCI not do this this time?

As we have already told you. After winning the T20 World Cup 2026, the Indian team and BCCI had no plans for a mass welcome program or bus parade. This time too, there was a lot of fighting for tickets, due to which Shivam Dubey could not even manage a flight ticket. The fans who came to watch the final of T20 World Cup 2206 in Ahmedabad had also booked their return flight tickets in advance. In such a situation, Dubey also suffered loss.

Do players book tickets themselves?

Generally, Indian team players do not have to book their own flight tickets. BCCI’s logistics team provides them with pre-planned travel schedules and e-tickets. Players have to travel with the team only as per the scheduled time. According to BCCI rules, players have to travel with the team in most cases. It may be necessary to obtain permission from the Board to travel separately or with family.

Shivam Dubey traveled by train in third AC

Let us tell you that, ‘Shivam Dubey traveled from Ahmedabad to Mumbai by train. Regarding this, Dubey said that there were no flights available there, so I decided to come by train. I came to Mumbai by morning train from Ahmedabad. We could have come by road also but had to reach quickly by train. On Monday morning my wife and I decided to travel by train. We found tickets only in third AC, so we decided to book them.

Dubey further said in his statement, ‘My wife and I wanted to reach home as soon as possible. Because our children were at home and I had to meet them as soon as possible. His son Ayaan is 4 years old, while his daughter Mehvish is 2 years old. In such a situation, it can be said that Dubey traveled by train while fulfilling the duty of a father to meet his children as soon as possible. Only circumstances can be blamed for Dubey traveling by train.
