New Delhi. The no-confidence motion brought by Congress and other opposition parties against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has been rejected by voice vote. With this, Om Birla will now continue on the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. A time of 10 hours was fixed for discussion on this no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. During the discussion yesterday and today for two days, vigorous and heated debate was witnessed between the members of the ruling party and the opposition. While the opposition members accused the Lok Sabha Speaker of discrimination, the ruling party MPs cited the rights of the Lok Sabha Speaker and made the opposition very clear.
