22nd convocation of Swami Kesavanand Agricultural University in Bikaner on 13 March
Bikaner . The 22nd convocation of Swami Kesavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University will be held on Friday, March 13. The function will be presided over by Haribhau Bagde (Governor and Chancellor).
Giving information to the journalists, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Rajendra Babu Dubey said that Union Law and Justice Minister (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal and Rajasthan Government’s Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena will attend the function to be held at the Vidya Mandap of the University as special guests. Convocation guest of the ceremony Prof. Trilochan Mohapatra, who is the Chairman of Plant Varieties Protection and Farmers Rights Authority (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India). He informed that all preparations for the event have been completed. On this occasion, University Registrar Dr. Devaram Saini, Research Director Dr. N. Of. Sharma, Director of Extension Education Dr. Deepali Dhawan and deans and directors of various faculties were present.
1694 students will get degree
Controller of Examinations Dr. Rajendra Singh Rathore said that in the convocation ceremony, degrees will be awarded by the Governor to a total of 1694 students of Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Community Sciences and IABM. These include 1475 undergraduate (UG) students, 52 postgraduate (PG) students and 31 PhD students of Agriculture Faculty. Degrees will be given to 21 undergraduate, 19 postgraduate and 6 PhD students of Community Science College. Whereas in IABM, 89 postgraduate students and 1 PhD student will be awarded degrees.
He said that 17 students who have shown excellent performance will be awarded gold medals and two students will be awarded Chancellor’s Gold Medal. The gold medal recipients include 2 undergraduate students, 14 postgraduate students and 1 PhD student, while one student each from the undergraduate and postgraduate classes will be awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal.
