Lucknow. Jyotirmath’s Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteswarananda Saraswati has sounded the conch shell for ‘Gau Pratisthartha Dharma Yudh’ in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A large number of saints, religious leaders and supporters were present in the program organized at Kanshi Ram Memorial Cultural Park of Ashiana.

During this, Shankaracharya asked the people one by one, how many people here are Congressmen, how many are SP, how many are BSP and how many are BJP? The maximum number of hands were raised by BJP supporters. On this he said that there are BJP people also, then people replied that earlier there were BJP people but now they are not there. On which Shankaracharya said that people of electronic media were propagating that Congress and SP are supporting us but here the truth has been exposed.

Murari Bapu said that many efforts were made to stop this program which proved futile.

Dharmacharyas and cow protectors from different places gathered in Lucknow on Tuesday itself regarding the programme. Shankaracharya is in the news these days regarding the cow protection movement and is demanding to give the status of mother of the nation to the cow. The district administration started preparations for this event a day in advance and special vigilance is being taken regarding security. National President of Rashtriya Sant Suraksha Samiti, Jagatguru Acharya Dev Murari Bapu, who reached Lucknow on Tuesday to participate in the Go Pratishtha Dharmayudh program, said that many efforts were made to stop this program which proved futile. The administration has given permission for the program with several conditions.

Women raised the demand of declaring mother cow as the mother of the nation and called for strengthening the movement.

In Faizullaganj area on Wednesday, dozens of Sanatani women, in support of the Cow Respect Movement, raised the demand of declaring Mother Cow as the mother of the nation and called for strengthening the movement. Social activist Mamta Tripathi said that mother cow has a special place in Sanatan culture, but in the present times people are moving away from it. He said that purity and adherence to traditions are important in worship. He also appealed to the people to come forward for cow protection.

He said that Cow, Ganga and Gayatri are the basic basis of Indian culture. If the country becomes free from cow slaughter, India will again move towards becoming a world leader. He said that in Sanatan Dharma, there is a belief of getting results on the basis of deeds, hence it is the duty of every Sanatani to contribute for cow protection. Akhilesh Awasthi said that Gochar land is recorded in every village in the revenue records, but now at most of the places this land has become a victim of encroachment. Due to this, the cattle are forced to wander on the streets and markets.
