According to the companies, the decision has been taken after a “thorough assessment” of the situation.

The initial price increase will primarily affect Oppo’s K-series and A-series budget devices as well as select OnePlus smartphones. At the same time, Oppo’s flagship Find series, Reno series and Oppo Pad series will continue to be sold at their current prices.
According to the report of 91 Mobiles, both the companies are currently silent about the actual increase in smartphone prices. If we look at the market trend, there could be an increase of about 15 to 20 percent. This means that the OnePlus 15R, which was launched at a price almost 6 percent higher than the previous model at Rs 47,999, can now cross the Rs 50,000 mark. Some time ago, a leak had indicated that the starting price of this phone could be Rs 51999.
In some cases, changes are already visible. For example, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has increased the price of Redmi Turbo 5 in China by 100 yuan. At the same time, Samsung has increased the price of Galaxy phones in India.
