Mass marriage of 108 disabled and poor girls will take place under the guidance of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri.
Korba. After the successful organization of Namah mass marriage organized in the year 2024 in Maa Sarvamangala Devi temple complex Durpa, Korba, it is being given a more comprehensive form this year. On 1st April 2026, a grand mass marriage ceremony will be held in Dhapdhap (Bankimongra) in the presence of world famous storyteller Pt. Dhirendra Shastri and organized by Apna Ashram Seva Samiti. On this occasion, a mass marriage of 108 disabled and poor girls will be organized, where they will enter new married life with their spouses.
Namah, the in-charge of mass marriage and manager of Maa Sarvamangala Devi Temple, said on Thursday that till now 108 disabled and poor girls have been registered. He said that by the grace of God this year this noble work is going to be accomplished in village Dhapdhap (Bankimongra), which is a matter of good fortune for all of us.
In the ceremony, world famous storyteller and propagator of Sanatan Dharma, Pt. Dhirendra Shastri, who is coming from Bageshwar Dham to bless the newlyweds, along with many eminent saints, learned acharyas and many political and social representatives of the state will also be present.
It is noteworthy that Apna Ashram Seva Samiti is organizing a divine event of Shri Hanumanth Katha in village Dhapdhap from 27th March to 01st April. In this six-day event, Pt. Dhirendra Shastri will enthrall the devotees with the story.
Namah mass marriage will be held on April 1, the last day of the event, in which 108 disabled and poor girls will tie the knot with their life partners of their choice. According to the organizers, registration is still going on, due to which the number of girls is also expected to increase.
