Under the ‘Come Early-Go Early’ system, women employees of Mumbai Metropolitan Region can come to office between 9:15 am to 9:45 am and start their work. If they start work before the scheduled time, they will also be allowed to go home that many minutes earlier in the evening. For example, if an employee starts work at 9:15, she can leave the office 30 minutes earlier in the evening, whereas if she arrives at 9:30, she will be allowed to leave 15 minutes earlier. In this way, they can get maximum facility of 30 minutes, which will reduce the hassle of traveling during peak time congestion and women employees will get relief in commuting.

Female government employees will be given maternity leave of 180 days i.e. about 6 months, so that they can comfortably take care of the child after birth. Even after this, if they need more time, they can take leave on half pay for a maximum of one year without any medical certificate. Along with this, the fourth women policy has also been implemented keeping in mind the interests of women in the state. To implement this policy properly, a high-level committee has also been formed, which will keep an eye on its functioning.

The state government is running many schemes to make women financially self-reliant. Financial assistance and opportunities are being given to women through schemes like ‘Ladki Bahin’, ‘Namo Mahila Empowerment’, ‘Lake Ladki’, ‘Annapurna’ and ‘Lakhpati Didi’. These products are also being sold through online medium, which is giving women an opportunity to increase their earnings.

Arrangements for drinking water have also been made in 17,254 Anganwadi centers of the state. Keeping in mind the safety of women, the use of modern technology is being increased. Special arrangements have been made to prevent cyber crimes at major stations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Churchgate Railway Station and Borivali Railway Station.
