No one can take away the fifth Rajya Sabha seat in Bihar from us: Brother Virendra!

The battle between NDA vs Grand Alliance on the fifth Rajya Sabha seat of Bihar is very interesting. While on one hand NDA is claiming victory on all five seats, on the other hand, RJD leader Bhai Virendra claimed that the Grand Alliance is winning the fifth seat. In conversation with IANS in Patna RJD MLA Bhai Virendra said that people who believe in secularism will vote for our party, our candidates, our Grand Alliance, our India Alliance and the number we wanted has been achieved. It is possible that our number may increase from 45 to 50. We are winning the elections, the fifth seat is ours and no one can snatch it from us.

On the rejection of the no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, the RJD MLA said that it is wrong if people holding constitutional posts do any work that goes above the Constitution.

The guardian of the House, whether he is the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly or the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, should look at all the parties from the same perspective. However, somewhere the people of the opposition felt that their views were being suppressed and people from the ruling party were being given more time.

He said, winning and losing on the no-confidence motion are different things. We wanted to tell the people of the country and the world that we do not have confidence in the Speaker, hence we have moved a no-confidence motion.

On the gas crisis, he said that today there is an outcry in the entire country and food is not being cooked in people’s homes. The government is just keeping the people under illusion and the public has already known the truth. People are not getting gas cylinders and long lines are being seen at the agencies. Consumers are standing outside the warehouses in queues hoping for gas cylinders. The government is only presenting false arguments in the entire matter.
