For investors who prefer stability, consistent growth and capital preservation, bonds offer regular and passive returns, making them an integral part of a diversified portfolio. With a view to strengthen investors’ portfolios with the power of bonds, Motilal Oswal Wealth Management will now provide access to various fixed income instruments such as Government Securities (G-Secs), Public Sector Bank Bonds (PSU Bonds) and Corporate Bonds. It will complement equity-based wealth creation and help investors protect and stabilize wealth created by India’s market growth.

The Indian bond market has emerged as the third largest market in Asia after Japan and China, with a size of around $3 trillion, which is roughly 100-110% of India’s GDP. This ratio presents a huge opportunity for investors and wealth managers. The current global environment is also highlighting the importance of fixed income allocation in portfolios. Rising geopolitical tensions and ongoing global uncertainty have created volatility in equity markets. During such times, bonds play an important role in portfolio diversification by providing a predictable source of income and relatively low volatility.

At this critical juncture in India’s bond market, to ease access to bonds and keep investors safe, We are delighted to launch our bond provider platform to deliver investable income.”

Harit Oberoi, Head – Fixed Income, Wealth Management, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. said, “While India’s debt market has traditionally been dominated by institutional investors, regulatory reforms and ease of investment in bonds are gradually increasing retail participation. As investors recognize the role of corporate bonds in portfolio diversification, our platform aims to provide opportunities with attractive returns and predictable cash flows, enabling investors to build a balanced portfolio that is consistent with their long-term financial goals.”
