MG Windsor EV: Big Discounts Make It Cheaper Than Ever

MG Motor India is rolling out heavy discounts across its portfolio in March 2026, targeting buyers looking to close deals before the financial year ends. The biggest news for electric vehicle buyers is the substantial price drop on the Windsor EV. Previously holding the crown as the best-selling electric vehicle in its segment last year, the Windsor is now available with total benefits of up to Rs 70,000.

The discount structure on the Windsor EV is straightforward and designed to clear dealership inventory. Buyers can claim a direct cash discount of Rs 20,000 upfront. For those upgrading from an older car, the company is offering an exchange benefit of up to Rs 20,000. Existing MG owners are eligible for a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus, while corporate buyers can secure an additional Rs 10,000 off.

The Windsor EV is sold with either a 38 kWh or a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed driving range of up to 440 kilometres. With prices usually ranging between Rs 14.85 lakh and Rs 19.58 lakh, these benefits position the Windsor aggressively against fresh rivals like the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, and the Mahindra BE 6.

Heavier cuts on the older ZS EV and Comet

If the Windsor does not fit the bill, MG is pushing even larger benefits on the older ZS EV. The electric SUV is currently seeing massive discounts of up to Rs 1.4 lakh this month. This includes a flat cash discount of Rs 1 lakh straight off the ex-showroom price, plus a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus and a Rs 20,000 corporate offer. The ZS EV is equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery pack and claims a range of 461 kilometres, with prices starting from Rs 19.05 lakh.

For urban commuters, the compact Comet EV is also on the discount list. The two-door electric runabout gets benefits of up to Rs 60,000 in most regions, comprising a Rs 10,000 cash discount alongside exchange, loyalty, and corporate benefits. Interestingly, buyers in South India get a much steeper cash discount of Rs 35,000, bringing the total savings to Rs 85,000 on a car that normally starts at just Rs 7.99 lakh.

ICE models are not left out

The discounts are not entirely limited to the electric line-up. The Astor, which is the petrol-powered sibling of the ZS EV, is available with benefits totalling up to Rs 85,000. This includes a Rs 25,000 cash discount to sweeten the deal against fierce segment rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.

MG GLOSTER FACELIFT LAUNCHING SOON

At the very top of the range, the flagship Gloster SUV gets a massive Rs 4 lakh shaved off its price tag, largely driven by a massive Rs 3.5 lakh cash discount, as the company prepares the ground for newer premium models in the pipeline.

MG Hector base variant

The Hector SUV is also heavily discounted this month. Buyers can avail themselves of a direct cash discount of up to Rs 65,000 on select variants. When combined with a Rs 30,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 10,000 corporate discount, the total benefits on the Hector stretch to Rs 1.05 lakh.

By offering these substantial cash cuts, MG is aiming to maintain its sales momentum in the fiercely competitive mid-size SUV segment, particularly against the recently updated Tata Safari and the popular Mahindra XUV700. Buyers should note that all these offers depend heavily on the specific variant chosen and the unsold stock sitting at their local dealership.
