Gautam Gambhir Controversy: He doesn’t even look at me, former selector’s big allegation against Gambhir

News India Live, Digital Desk: Gautam Gambhir’s tenure as the head coach of the Indian cricket team has been full of successes, but a former Indian selector has made a shocking claim regarding his personal behaviour. On the condition of anonymity (or as per the report), the former selector said that Gambhir has still not been able to forget that phase of his career when he was dropped from Team India. “He does not even make eye contact.” The former selector claimed that whenever he meets Gambhir during any public event or match, Gambhir completely ignores him. He said, “Gautam has been a player who won two World Cups for the country, but when he was dropped from the team, he took it very personal. Even today when he is the head coach, he does not like to talk or see people who were part of the selection committee at that time.” What is the whole matter? Gautam Gambhir was shown the way out of the team due to poor form around 2013-14. Although he made a brilliant comeback in domestic cricket and later played a few Test matches, he could not cement his place. Gambhir has repeatedly indicated in interviews that he felt he was not given enough opportunities. Gambhir’s stance as a coach Gambhir has always said that he gives importance to ‘work’ and ‘intent’ rather than ‘name’ in the team. There has been no official response from Gautam Gambhir yet on this claim of the former selector, but discussions have intensified in the cricket circles regarding his ‘professional and personal’ behaviour.
