Sihore: Preparations for the fair on upcoming Chaitra Navratri started in Salkanpur, Collector-SP took meeting
Sehore. Preparations for Chaitra Navratri have started at Vijayasan Devi Temple located in Salkanpur in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. A large number of devotees come here on Chaitra Navratri to have darshan and worship of the Mother Goddess.
Collector Balaguru K. regarding better arrangements for the devotees coming to Salkanpur on Chaitra Navratri starting from March 19. And SP Deepak Kumar Shukla held a meeting in Salkanpur on Thursday and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.
He said that all the arrangements should be made in such a way that the devotees coming for darshan do not face any kind of problem and all the devotees can worship in a convenient manner.
In the meeting, the Collector gave instructions to the concerned officials regarding parking, drinking water, cleanliness and adequate electricity arrangements. He directed to put adequate number of officers and employees on duty for smooth arrangements of arrival and departure of devotees in the temple premises.
He instructed to make arrangements for fire brigade for emergency. Besides, instructions were given to organize shops at the fair site in an organized manner and for better management of the fair.
In the meeting, SP Shukla instructed the concerned police officers to deploy adequate police personnel on duty at all the main places, so that the traffic system is not disrupted in any way. He said that while on duty, officers and employees should immediately ensure smooth flow of traffic if traffic is disrupted at any place.
He said that the ropeway should be operated continuously in the temple premises, so that more and more people can travel. After the meeting, Collector-SP also inspected the Salkanpur temple complex. Salkanpur Trust President Mahesh Upadhyay, ASP Sunita Rawat, SDM Dinesh Singh Tomar, SDOP Ravi Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Suraj Alhapuria and committee members and officers were present in the meeting.
Use of domestic gas cylinders will be banned in the temple premises and fair site.
According to the decision taken by the temple committee during the meeting, Collector Balaguru K. Instructed all the concerned officials that during the fair, the use of domestic gas cylinders will be completely banned at hotels, shops and other establishments in the fair venue and temple premises.
He instructed that there should be no inflammable substances in any shop and domestic gas cylinders should not be used. He directed that this order should be strictly followed and action should be taken against those using domestic gas cylinders by confiscating their cylinders. Along with this, instructions should be given to compulsorily keep small fire extinguishers in all shops for fire safety.
Check the fitness certificate of vehicles
In the meeting, the Collector directed that better and smooth operation of traffic should be ensured during the event. While operating a taxi, the fitness certificate should be checked and only those vehicles (taxi) should be allowed to transport the devotees which have the fitness certificate issued by the RTO.
The vehicles which will be used as taxis should be in good condition and should not be charged more than the fare fixed by the committee. Do not seat more passengers than the prescribed capacity. It should be ensured that very old vehicles are not used and only trained drivers drive the vehicle.
Instructions regarding road improvement system Collector Balaguru K in the meeting. While giving instructions, he said that during Navratri, devotees reach Salkanpur on foot from Budhni and other places.
During this period, due to ongoing road construction work at many places, road work is incomplete or damaged. He instructed the officials of Public Works Department and NHAI to ensure that necessary improvement work is done on their respective routes, so that the devotees do not face inconvenience and no untoward situation is created.
Movement of devotees stopped in forest areas and accident prone places
The Collector directed that the devotees coming to Salkanpur temple should be prevented from going to the hilly and forest areas, so that wild animals and any untoward incident can be avoided. For this, he instructed the Deputy Forest Divisional Officer to identify such places and put forest personnel on duty.
Health camps at important places
The Collector said that health camps should be set up for the devotees in the temple premises. So that immediate medical assistance can be provided to the devotees in case they require treatment. He also directed to arrange ambulances at important places for emergency services.
Help desks at key locations
In the meeting, the Collector said that help desks should be made at main places so that the devotees coming from outside do not face any problem in the temple premises. He said that a control room should be made in the temple premises, so that all the officers and employees remain in constant touch while on duty.
Adequate provision of drinking water
The Collector said that there should be adequate arrangements for drinking water for the devotees. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens, temporary toilets should also be installed at important places, so that people do not face inconvenience.
Collector-SP inspected Narmada Aanlighat
A large number of devotees reach Aanvlighat on Bhutri Amavasya. To ensure better arrangements for the devotees at Aanvlighat, Collector Balaguru K. And SP Deepak Kumar Shukla inspected Aanlighat. He directed to make adequate arrangements for the devotees to take bath at the ghat and to ensure that the devotees do not go too deep.
He instructed to put police, home guard personnel and divers on duty at Aanvlighat. Along with this, he also gave instructions to ensure availability of water boats. He directed to make adequate parking arrangements and put up signs to ensure smooth movement of Aanvlighat devotees.
