Mumbai: After rumours of actor Neena Gupta being pregnant at 66 started doing the rounds on social media platforms, the veteran reacted to the buzz in her trademark humourous style.
Speculation over Neena’s pregnancy started after she attended the wedding reception of actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in Hyderabad.
Addressing the speculation, Neena told Bollywood Hungama, “This is all I need, a real-life Badhaai Ho. There is no Badhaai Ho. I am not pregnant. The truth is that the saree material was thick, which made me look bulky at the event,” she explained and then added, “But I must say, I love all this speculation about my pregnancy at my age. It shows we are evolving as a nation.”

Neena’s personal life has been one of the most openly-discussed subjects in the Indian film industry for her bold choices.
At a time when relationships outside marriage were considered taboo in India, Neena’s relationship with former West Indies cricketer Viv Richards was widely talked about, especially as she decided to keep their child — Masaba Gupta — born out of wedlock, and raise her on her own.
