Mumbai: On Thursday morning, a dense layer of smog and pollution was seen in many parts of the city, reducing visibility and causing difficulty in breathing. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has expressed concern over this situation.

Through social media, he demanded immediate action from the authorities. Deepika believes that poor air quality is having the biggest impact on the health of children and common citizens.

Deepika shared a screenshot of Mumbai’s Air Quality Index on Instagram Story, which showed worrying pollution levels. He wrote that citizens and children were experiencing suffocation and raised the question how such a situation could be considered normal.

Demand for action from Municipal Corporation

Deepika also tagged Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and Health Department in her post. He requested the authorities to take immediate steps to solve this serious problem. According to recent data, Mumbai’s AQI has been recorded at 159, which falls in the poor category.


Reaction of other actresses

Before Deepika, actresses Saiyami Kher and Richa Chadha have also expressed their concern over Mumbai’s poor air. Saiyami said that she has been going for a run in the morning for years, but now she has to run wearing a mask. He described this situation as reminiscent of the days of the pandemic.

Richa Chadha also reacted on social media and termed Mumbai’s bad air as a result of human negligence. He said that this problem has arisen because of humans and it should be taken seriously.

Talking about work, Deepika Padukone will soon be seen in Siddharth Anand’s film ‘King’, in which Shahrukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla and Abhishek Bachchan also play important roles. This film is going to be released in theaters on 24th December. Apart from this, Deepika will also be seen in a science fiction action film, starring Allu Arjun in the lead role.
