‘Howzzat’: Shikhar Dhawan bowls out Akshay Kumar on the sets of Bhoot Bangla

Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar had an unexpected cricket moment on the sets of his upcoming film “Bhoot Bangla”, when former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan came to meet him and bowled him during a friendly match.

A reel was posted on the official account of production banner Balaji Telefilms, showing Shikhar’s entry on the sets. The cricketer posed for pictures with Akshay and director Priyadarshan.

After this, the video showed the two enjoying a quick cricket match on the sets. Shikhar took the crease first, while Akshay came to bat later and managed to score some runs with confident shots. However, the fun innings ended when Shikhar bowled a ball that clean bowled the actor, causing everyone around to cheer and chant “Howzat!” Started shouting.

The caption of the video read: “Bhooth Sara good luck to Team India! Ram ji will come and do good… the rest will be done by the boys! PS: Watching @akshaykumar in action on the sets of Bhooth Bangla with our special guest @shikhardofficial! #BhoothBangla in theaters on 10th April 2026.”

Bhoot Bangla is of Priyadarshan. It stars the famous trio of Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Mithila Palkar will also be seen in important roles in the film.

Priyadarshan’s directorial venture is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms in association with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The film is being co-produced by Fara Shaikh and Vedant Bali.

This is Priyadarshan’s second Hindi horror comedy film, preceded by Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani and Manoj Joshi have worked in both the films.

The story of the film is written by Akash A Kaushik and screenplay is written by Rohan Shankar, Abhilash Nair and Priyadarshan. Dialogues have been written by Rohan Shankar.

The film has been produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Akshay Kumar’s production company Cape of Good Films. “Bhoot Bangla” will release in theaters on April 10.
